Passion & Purpose

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is not what Dr. Jacob does — it is who he is. The son of a dentist, he grew up watching firsthand how skilled hands and genuine care could change a patient’s life. That early influence set him on a path he has pursued with uncommon dedication ever since. Over nearly two decades, Dr. Jacob has built a career that spans the full breadth of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He founded Northeast Facial and Oral Surgery Specialists, serves as Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and holds fellowships in some of the most prestigious surgical and academic organizations in the country and the world. He remains actively engaged in the professional organizations that shape how this specialty evolves, contributing not only as a practitioner but as a leader in the field.

Twice a year, Dr. Jacob travels to Bangladesh on surgical mission trips, providing corrective jaw surgery to patients who would otherwise never have access to this level of care. For him, it is a natural extension of a career built on the belief that the privilege of surgical skill carries with it a profound responsibility to others, and that the work itself is his greatest passion and reward.
